Right From the Start Project
Who is eligible for Right from the Start:
1)
If you are pregnant and reside in West Virginia
2)
If you have a current and active Medicaid Card or Office of Maternal Child and
Family Health (OMCFH Card)
How to apply:
Through DHHR
What is Right From the Start:
1) Helps arrange transportation
2) Refers you to connecting programs such as:
a) HAPI to assist with dental care
b) Post Partum Depression - this includes counseling and medication
3) Arrange for services and discounts or "no fee" such as birthing classes, smoking cessation classes, parenting classes,
health and nutrition classes.
4) Education on prenatal and infant care
